Instagram users will soon be introduced to new artificial intelligence-supported features that enable image improvement and modification. Meta is taking significant steps towards fulfilling its commitment to integrate generative AI into its product line.
According to the news reported by Techtimes, the company introduced innovative artificial intelligence-based features focusing on image editing and sticker design for Instagram.
One notable update is the “reshape” tool, which resembles a highly advanced generative AI filter. This tool will allow users to transform their existing photos into various visual styles.
Users will be able to submit descriptions such as “watercolor” or more complex prompts such as “collage made from torn edges of magazines and newspapers” to express the specific look and ambiance they desire.
Meta also introduced another innovative tool called “background,” which leverages the power of generative AI to act as a virtual green screen.
Users will be able to instantly transform images into the desired background by entering prompts such as “Place me against a stunning aurora borealis background.”
Although Meta did not offer a specific release date for “reformatting” and “background” on Instagram, it assured users that these exciting tools will be introduced in the near future.
These stickers will take their place on popular platforms such as Instagram, WhatsApp, Messenger and Facebook Stories.
