GAGİAD Culture and Arts Festival, organized by Gaziantep Young Businessmen Association (GAGİAD) with the support of Gaziantep Metropolitan Municipality, starts on October 2.

The festival, which was launched to bring the rich world of culture and art together with the people of the city, will host a series of events, from contemporary art exhibitions to classical music concerts, from artist interviews to workshops, for a week. The exhibitions "Pür-hayâl" and "...but my heart is with you", which will be opened to visitors at the historical Pürsefa Inn, can be viewed until October 28.

GAGİAD Culture and Arts Festival, organized for the first time this year by Gaziantep Young Businessmen Association (GAGİAD), will bring together contemporary art exhibitions that bring together many different disciplines and successful interpreters of classical music with art lovers. The festival, which was implemented with the vision of making Gaziantep an important center in the field of culture and arts, is organized with the contributions of Gaziantep Metropolitan Municipality.

Cihan Koçer, Chairman of the Board of GAGİAD, stated that Gaziantep, which has a deep-rooted and rich cultural heritage, has started to climb to the top of the "Livable Cities" list, in addition to being one of the important industrial and commercial cities of Turkey, and added that by combining the developing structure of the city with culture and art, the city has become one of the most important industrial and commercial cities in Turkey. He underlined that they want to reveal the potential in the field and said: “GAGİAD Culture and Arts Festival is an important threshold in this sense. We will continue to take important steps to make Gaziantep an art city. "With this festival, which we aim to become a tradition, we want to give our city the title of 'art city' in addition to its recognition in the field of culture and gastronomy."

Works of artists from different generations of Turkey are brought together

GAGİAD Culture and Arts Festival, prepared under the general artistic direction of GAGİAD's art consultant Yasemin Bay, will host two exhibitions at Pürsefa Inn, one of the most beautiful inns in the city. The exhibitions titled “Pur-dream” and “…but my heart is with you” can be viewed until October 28.

“Pür-hayâl” exhibition, which takes its name from the different meanings of the word 'pur'; It has a meaning that multiplies 'hayâl' with the prefix 'pür' meaning 'full, many'. The 'pure dreams' created by the works of the artists establish a bond with Pürsefa Inn and the Mevlevihane located opposite it, referring to peace and tranquility. The exhibition on the ground floor of Pürsefa Hanı presents a rich selection ranging from the masters of Turkish modern painting to today's remarkable artists. In the exhibition, Murat Akagündüz, Hüseyin Aksoy, Çiğdem Aky, Erol Akyavaş, Elvan Alpay, Hakkı Anlı, Nejad Melih Devrim, Osman Dinç, Tayfun Erdoğmuş, Hakan Gürsoytrak, Nuri İyem, Hacer Kıroğlu, Komet, Murat Morova, Seçkin Pirim, Damla Sari, Aras Works by Seddigh, Kemal Seyhan, Gürsel Soyel, Canan Tolon, Selim Turan, Mehmet Ali Uysal and Merve Zeybek are included.

The works in the exhibition “…but my heart is with you”, located on the second floor of Pürsefa Hanı, establish a unique language around the themes of love, faith, devotion, unity and solidarity. The exhibition focuses on the feeling of being together and sharing, as the building in which it is located was once the place where the collected wheat was shared. On the other hand, it is also a tribute to the deep love and devotion that the people of Gaziantep have felt for their city from past to present. GAGİAD Culture and Arts Festival will take art lovers on a magical journey all over the city with classical music concerts. The festival orchestra, Çukurova Symphonic Project, under the direction of conductor Eray İnal, will present important works of both classical music and Turkish composers, with Hakan Aysev, one of Turkey's most important tenors, as the soloist. Anatolian Woodwind Quintet will give the audience surprising encounters with classical music at different points of Gaziantep with its rich repertoire. Classical music concerts will continue with the "Itrî and Bach" concert, which brings together Western Classical Music and Classical Turkish Music. The orchestra, consisting of Ertan Tekin (duduk), Murat Aydemir (tanbur), Çağ Erçağ (cello) and Selin Nardemir (cello), performed two great musicians, Itrî and Bach, who lived in the same century but peaked in their arts at different times and places. will bring it together.
