Alstom, the global leader in smart and sustainable mobility, has merged all companies operating on the Polish market into a single entity, ALSTOM Polska SA. This step will complete the integration of Alstom's units in the domestic market and strengthen the company's position. Provider of full-range products and solutions for rail customers, including modern rolling stock (high-speed rail, regional rail, metros, trams), services as well as rail traffic control systems. This significant integration paved the way for the creation of a leading rail manufacturer in the country.
Sławomir Cyza, CEO and General Manager of Alstom in Poland, Ukraine and the Baltic States, said: “By establishing a single company, ALSTOM Polska SA, we are opening a new page in the history of Alstom in Poland. The merger of three organizations with over 120 years of history and 4000 employees in Poland consolidates our leading position in the market and enables us to serve our customers both in the domestic market and internationally. "Our export activities extend to Italy, the Netherlands, Norway, Germany, the Baltic countries and the United Arab Emirates," he said.
Alstom has been operating on the Polish market for 25 years. The company builds on the extensive industrial heritage of its sites: Pafawag's 180-year presence in Wrocław, Konstal's 150-year presence in Chorzów and ZWUS' 100-year presence in Katowice. Alstom Konstal, Alstom Pojazdy Szynowe and Alstom ZWUS were replaced by ALSTOM Polska SA, which operates four branches in Warsaw, Chorzów, Katowice and Wrocław.
Alstom has a significant impact on the transport industry in Poland. Currently, trains, locomotives, metros or trams produced by Alstom are already in operation in Poland. The company is the manufacturer of Poland's first high-speed train, Pendolino. Alstom has introduced major railway automation and infrastructure projects to the Polish market, such as ERTMS/ETCS L2 or the ATC system in the Warsaw metro.
