Capital Youth Council, in cooperation with Ankara Metropolitan Municipality, welcomes students who come to the city for higher education at the 'Solidarity Desk' it established at AŞTİ. At the stands opened with the slogan 'University is Read in Ankara', students are given detailed information about the city, especially housing needs.

Capital Youth Council, in cooperation with Ankara Metropolitan Municipality, welcomes students who come to enroll in universities in the city at AŞTİ.

Students coming to Ankara are welcomed at the stands set up by the Metropolitan Municipality teams and the Capital Youth Council volunteers at AŞTİ, while the students here are provided with accommodation needs in particular; They are informed about the opportunities offered by the Metropolitan Municipality and Ankara.

METROPOLITAN STANDS WITH THE STUDENTS

While members of the Capital Youth Council help students who come to Ankara to study at university to adapt to the city more quickly, they also direct students who need support regarding accommodation to the stand set up by the Metropolitan Municipality at the end of August.

BUGSAŞ General Manager Halil Vecihi İyigün said the following about the service provided to students:

“At our stand, we guide and inform students who are placed in dormitories. Following this, if there are students who cannot settle in the dormitories, we host them for a short time in the dormitories within the Ankara Metropolitan Municipality, within our means.”

Underlining that the capital is one of the cities where university education is provided in the highest quality, with nearly 400 thousand university students, 22 universities and nearly 50 thousand academic staff, Ankara City Council Vice President Prof. Dr. Savaş Zafer Şahin said, “Our brothers in the Capital Youth Council are making a very nice organization by welcoming our brothers who come to Ankara to study at AŞTİ. Together with the relevant people and officials of Ankara Metropolitan Municipality and Çankaya Municipality, they carry out very good activities to ensure that university students who come to Ankara are not abandoned and feel a sense of belonging to Ankara, because they once experienced the same feelings and went through the same processes. Ankara is the second city where university students prefer to live the most. Our goal is to make Ankara the first city in this regard. "For this reason, it is of great importance that all civil components of the city, public and private partnerships and young people, gathered under the slogan 'University is Studied in Ankara', act together," he said.

“YOU HAVE A HUGE FAMILY IN ANKARA, YOU ARE NOT ALONE”

The students, who are welcomed at the stands opened with the slogan "University is Read in Ankara", are informed about the advantages provided by the Metropolitan Municipality to the students, and a booklet is distributed to the students that will guide them in many areas such as accommodation, transportation and promotion.

Stating that the stand of the Capital Youth Assembly will continue to provide consultancy services to new students coming to Ankara until Friday, September 29, Rümeysa Kırmızı, Vice President of Press and Communications of the Capital Youth Assembly, said: "We want students coming to Ankara from out of town to have information about Ankara, and to help them learn about Ankara alone." We established the 'Solidarity Desk' to make people feel that they are not. "We want to say, 'You have a very big family waiting for you here, you are not alone at all,'" he said.

Stating that the events that have been held for 3 years have become traditional, Vice President of the Capital Youth Assembly in charge of Universities, Ege Dinç, made the following evaluation:

“Today, we are at the 'Solidarity Table' with our friends at AŞTİ, where we traditionally welcome our new friends who come to Ankara every year. In fact, we are showing solidarity here with Ankara Metropolitan Municipality, our Mayor Mansur Yavaş and our other components, to stand behind the promise of 'University is studied in Ankara' and to show all of Turkey that the university is studied in Ankara.”
