It is aimed to provide public transportation education to 1 million students in Istanbul with the education bus prepared by IETT for students, which also includes new generation transportation systems. Experimental training will also be offered in the fields of environmentally friendly fuels, energy saving, sustainable transportation and urban mobility.
IETT General Directorate and Istanbul Development Agency, subsidiaries of Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality, implemented the Sustainable Mobility Training Center Project. Within the scope of the project, a training bus supported by simulations and animations was built.
In addition to the Public Transportation and Pedestrian Transportation Rules, the educational bus, which enriches it with experiment sets and visual elements on topics such as new generation transportation systems, environmentally friendly fuels, energy saving, sustainable transportation and urban mobility, started its educational activities in schools for the 2023 - 2024 academic period.
TARGET IS ONE MILLION STUDENTS
The target of the educational activities, which have reached 12 students in 2 schools to date, is to reach 200 million students. İETT General Manager İrfan Demet also attended the training, which was held at Avcılar İnönü Secondary School and attracted great interest from the students.
IETT WILL INCREASE ELECTRIC BUSES
