The foundation of the Lengüme (Çamlıova) Bridge was laid in Kaş district. When completed, the bridge will connect many rural neighborhoods in the district.
Kaş Mayor Mutlu Ulutaş, who attended the groundbreaking program held in Çamlıova District, stated in his speech that the Ministry of Forestry and Water Affairs has undertaken the construction of Lengüme Bridge.
Stating that the construction of the bridge has started by the State Hydraulic Works, Mayor Ulutaş said, "We are happy to fulfill the promises we made to our fellow citizens in the 2019 local elections." said.
Mayor Ulutaş pointed out that the bridge is located at an important transition point connecting the coastal settlements and the plateaus and said, “The flow rate of the Karaçay Stream here increases very much during the winter months. Especially those who wanted to go to the plateau and return from there had been experiencing difficulties here for many years, and vehicles were stranded on the road. Our citizens' expectation was that this bridge would be built. In the 2019 local elections, we made a commitment that "we will build the bridge" and we included this in our investment activities. As a result of our negotiations, our Ministry of Forestry and Water Affairs undertook the construction of this bridge. The construction of this bridge started with the help of State Hydraulic Works. “Hopefully, it will be completed soon and will be available to our citizens.” he said.
It has been reported that the Lengüme Bridge, which will be 28 meters long, 10 meters wide and 6 meters high, will provide great convenience in transportation by connecting Çayköy, Çavdır, Sahil Palamut, Aklar and Çamlıköy and Çamlıova, Yayla Palamut, Başdargaz, Yuvacık and Sütleğen neighborhoods in the district.
