“40th Congress” organized in the Capital with the cooperation of Ankara Metropolitan Municipality and EUNIC, the European Network of National Cultural Institutes. A construction site tour was held to the Roman Theater and Archeopark within the scope of "European Heritage Days".
Ankara Metropolitan Municipality attaches great importance to announcing the historical and cultural values of the capital to the whole world and to the protection and restoration of cultural heritage. It continues to work not only to keep the past alive, but also to pass it on to future generations.
In cooperation with the Department of Cultural and Natural Heritage and EUNIC, the European Network of National Cultural Institutes, "40. "European Heritage Days" was held in Ankara this year.
As part of the European Heritage Days and the centenary celebrations of Ankara becoming the Capital, a construction site visit was held to the Roman Theater and Archeopark on 16-17 September 2023.
THE HISTORY OF THE CAPITAL HAS BEEN REDISCOVERED
Citizens who participated in the tour organized with expert guides had the opportunity to rediscover the history of the Capital. Citizens said the following about the organized trip:
-Duygu Akgöz: “The construction site trip is going very well for me. “I would prefer cultural tours to be held more in Ankara because Ankara is a capital of culture… It made me really happy to see these.”
-Sina Kiziroğlu: “I have passed here in Ankara many times before, but this was the first time I learned that such a building existed during this trip. "I was pleased that Ankara Metropolitan Municipality organized such a trip and carried out magnificent archaeological and architectural works."
-Adil Erdoğan: “The trip is going very well for me. "I knew about the existence of such a place before, but today I had the chance to see it up close."
