Edirne Green Crescent Sports Club Cycling Community is organizing a cycling tour to Bulgaria between 22-26 September with the slogan "We pedal for unlimited friendship" as part of its efforts to combat addiction.

Edirne Green Crescent Sports Club, after the 22st stage of the 26 km cycling tour named "Serhat'tan Evlad-ı Fatihan'a" organized in Western Thrace between 310 - 1 September, turned its route to Bulgaria for the 2nd stage. The athletes, who will start pedaling from Edirne Selimiye Square during a 5 km stage for 4 days and 500 nights, will leave the Hamzabeyli Border Gate, take a tented break in the cities of Yanbolu, İslimye, New Zagora, Stara Zagora, Plovdiv, Hasköy and return home through the Kapıkule Border Gate.

They will cycle 500 km to draw attention to the fight against addiction.

Under the chairmanship of Green Crescent Marmara 1st Regional Coordinator Sebahattin Bilgiç, 5 athletes will pedal 5 kilometers for 500 days. Athletes in the cities where they will take a break; They will visit the Bulgarian Green Crescent, Plovdiv Consulate General, Plovdiv Municipality, Provincial Mufti's Offices and non-governmental organizations and exchange information. They will share Green Crescent's anti-addiction efforts with their compatriots and stakeholders living in Bulgaria and the Bulgarian authorities. Bulgaria is among the member countries of the International Federation of Green Crescents (UYEF), which was founded in Istanbul in 2016 and has 97 members today.

This event of Edirne Green Crescent Sports Club is considered an important step both in the fight against addiction and in terms of intercultural dialogue. Edirne Green Crescent Sports Club, in addition to cycling, also carries out activities in judo, table tennis and scouting.
