Izmir Metropolitan Municipality organized a trip to the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus for veterans. Veterans who toured Cyprus for three days expressed their gratitude to Izmir Metropolitan Municipality.
Izmir Metropolitan Municipality continues to stand by the families of martyrs and veterans. Izmir Metropolitan Municipality, which recently put the Martyrs' Relatives and Veterans Guesthouse into service, organized a tour for Cyprus veterans in the city. Within the scope of the program organized by the Department of Social Services, 30 Cyprus veterans toured the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus for three days.
The group toured the city of Kyrenia on the first day and then rested at their hotel. On the second day, they visited Bellapais Monastery, Kyrenia Castle, Karaoğlanoğlu Martyrdom, Landing Beach and Blue Mansion. On the third day of the trip, veterans visited the Barbarism Museum, Green Line Border, Presidential Mansion, Kyrenia Gate, Massacre Villages, Lala Mustafa Pasha Mosque, Lusignan Palace, Namık Kemal Dungeon, and the Closed Maraş Region.
Additionally, within the framework of the visits, TRNC Parliament Speaker Zorlu Töre received the veterans in his office. Veterans who returned to Izmir after the program held between 22-25 September expressed their satisfaction and expressed their gratitude to Izmir Metropolitan Municipality.
