The death of Metin Şandam deeply affected Türkan Şoray. Şandam, who admired Türkan Şoray during his primary school years, later devoted himself to art and started painting.
Türkan Şoray, who received the news of Şandam's death, shared the photo they took together on her Instagram account and said, "I am very sorry. We lost Metin Şamdan. I'm abroad, I just found out. He has been devoted to me with endless love for years. Whatever I say will be incomplete, may your place be heaven. I will not forget you, dear Metin Şamdan.”
Şandam, who started painting with an interest in art, received music training at the Üsküdar Music Society.
