Summer in Metro Istanbul will pass with fun and educational activities
Metro Istanbul Summer School, the first of which was held last year with the participation of approximately 300 children, started on July 10 this year. Free events with the participation of children and parents will continue to be held at Esenler Campus until September 1st. In the “Metro Istanbul Summer School” program, which consists of 7 terms of 10 weeks for 11-14 and 2-4 age groups; While robotic coding, aikido, athletics, cartoon, comics workshop, recycling workshop, fire awareness training, badminton, volleyball, basketball, M-farmer, science bus and children's rights training are provided, parents also participate in activities such as face yoga and clay pot making and various activities. can attend seminars.
Ozgur Soy, General Manager of Metro Istanbul, who spoke as part of the summer events, said, “We are opening our public spaces to Istanbulites with the events we have organized since the day we took office. Children are always our priority in our events. We want our children to spend their summer holidays productively with fun and educational activities. We offer different experiences in many fields from cartoons to robotic coding in an environment where they can experience various sports branches and touch the ground. At the same time, we organize programs consisting of artistic and educational activities for our parents, offering the opportunity to spend a joyful and productive time while waiting for their children. Last year, we held a graduation ceremony for approximately 38 children who participated in our program from 300 districts of Istanbul and handed over their certificates. We received very good feedback from both our children and their parents. We are happy to meet with nearly 350 children from different age groups and their parents this year as well.” he said.

Stating that they realized the Metro Istanbul Summer School in cooperation with the affiliate companies of the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IMM), Soy said, “We work with IMM affiliate companies. We received support from İSTAÇ in the recycling workshop, from the Institute Istanbul İSMEK in the safe internet and healthy nutrition seminars, from the Istanbul Fire Brigade in the fire awareness training, from the Youth and Sports Branch Directorate in the Science Bus event, and from the Social Services Department in the children's rights trainings. We have prepared a fun and educational summer activity for our children and their mothers. I would also like to thank all our subsidiary companies for their good cooperation with us during this process.”
Metro Istanbul Open Air Cinema Days started
Metro Istanbul Esenler Campus hosted more than 12 people with 10.000 movie screenings last year. Organized for the third time this year, the Metro Istanbul Open Air Cinema Days event meets with moviegoers every Tuesday and Thursday at 18 between July 24 and August 21.00. Popcorn, lemonade and hot drinks are served to the participants in the Open Air Cinema Days event, which is held free of charge.
