The 2018th hearing of the case regarding the train accident that occurred in Çorlu in 7, in which 25 people, including 300 children, lost their lives and injured more than 14 people, is being held.

Families who lost their relatives in the accident have been demanding justice for 5 years. The victims of the massacre want all those responsible for the train disaster to be brought to justice and punished.
Before the hearing, families and those who came to solidarity gathered at Çorlu Power Station at 09.00. He opened a banner with the photos of those who lost their lives in the accident and walked to Çorlu Public Education Center where the case will be held. Photographs of Can Atalay, who was one of the lawyers of the case and who was in prison because of the Gezi trial, were also carried during the march. Mısra Öz, who lost her son Oğuz Arda Sel in the massacre, said in a statement, “This hearing is the 14th hearing. We are waiting for a positive expert report. "Justice cannot be achieved without the highest officials being prosecuted," he said.
When the relatives of the victims, who spoke at the hearing, demanded justice from the court, they said, "We do not accept that the defendants continue their daily lives and work as they are."
Another citizen said, “The reason for the Çorlu train accident is called rain. The newly opened Sivas railway also empties the rails in the rain. This means that build-operate-commissioning projects are not healthy. Things are not audited,” he said.
