As of the end of June, the number of new energy vehicles in the country reached 16 million 200 thousand, making up 4,9 percent of the total number of motor vehicles.
The number of new energy vehicles registered in the first half of the year reached 41,6 million 3 thousand with a record increase of 128 percent on an annual basis.
In addition, the number of cities with more than one million motor vehicles reached 88, while the number of motor vehicles in 24 cities, including the capital Beijing and Chengdu, was reported to be over 3 million.
