Minister Uraloğlu said, “As it shortens the distances, a total of 32 million liras savings were achieved, including 14 million liras from time and 46 million liras from fuel. The most important feature of bridges is that they connect opposite shores or far away. Like the bridges built from heart to heart, we build bridges that bring people closer together. FEATURES OF THE BENGENDIK BRIDGE
The Begendik (Botan) Bridge, which provides safe and comfortable transportation to the provinces of Bitlis and Van in Pervari District, is the longest mid-span, box-section, post-tensioned bridge in Turkey with its Balanced Cantilever system with a middle span of 210 meters. The length of the bridge reaches a total of 2 meters with 450 side openings. With the bridge with a height of 165 meters, the Begendik-Pervari section was shortened by 8 kilometers. The bridge has also reduced exhaust emissions by 674 tons.
