YEO Teknoloji, one of Turkey's leading engineering and technology companies, introduced its energy storage solutions at Intersolar Europe, Europe's largest renewable energy industry meeting. Reap Battery Technologies, one of YEO's subsidiaries, attracted great attention from all participants from all over the world at the record-breaking fair with more than 100 thousand visitors. Reap Battery aims to open its factory, which has the capacity to produce an energy storage system of 1 GWh per year, in Istanbul this year.
At the meeting held in Munich, Germany on 14-15-16 June 2023, representatives of the renewable energy sector from all over the world had the opportunity to make new business connections. Approximately 57 exhibitors from 2 countries exhibited their products and solutions at the event. Working for a cleaner and more sustainable world with turn-key renewable energy projects by focusing on decarbonization, decentralization and digitalization, YEO's stand was met with great interest by exhibitors and visitors. Reap Battery's technological solutions were also introduced at the YEO booth, which hosted many industry representatives.
Reap Battery, which was established at the end of last year to develop and produce energy storage solutions as a subsidiary of YEO Teknoloji, will start production in Istanbul this year. In order to support the digital energy transformation and achieve the Net Zero Climate targets, work has started for the facility that will produce an annual energy storage system of 1 GWh.
The installed capacity of energy storage systems, which reached 2020GWh at the end of 10, is expected to increase to 2030GWh in 194. According to international research, the market size of energy storage systems, which is expected to grow by 35 percent every year, is expected to increase to approximately 2030 billion dollars in 225. YEO's experience in power generation, transmission and distribution, combined with Reap's high performance, efficient, innovative, economical and advanced energy storage solutions, will ensure the energy transformation of power grids, renewable power plants, industrial, commercial facilities and households. Reap Battery will provide research and development, design and engineering, supply and production, operation and maintenance services in energy storage systems from a single point. With its advanced electronic and mechanical design techniques, experienced battery design team, it will offer reliable energy storage systems according to customer needs.
