Who is Davut Gul?
Davut Gul was born in 1974 in the Horasan district of Erzurum. He completed his primary and secondary education in Khorasan, high school. Kadıköy He graduated from Mehmet Beyazıt High School. He graduated from Cyprus Near East University, Department of International Relations. He started his career as a district governor candidate in Gaziantep in 2000.
He was appointed as the District Governor of Kırklareli - Kofçaz after he completed his postgraduate studies in Muğla – Kavaklıdere, İzmir – Kemalpaşa district, his internship abroad in England, and his master's degree at the Faculty of Political Sciences at AU. He served as the District Governor of Şirvan from 2003 to 2005, as the Deputy Governor of Karaman between 2005 and 2006, and as the District Governor of Gürün between 2006 and 2009.
He was selected as the District Governor of the Year by the Turkish Administrators Association in 2009 and was awarded the Martyr District Governor Ersin Fire Award. After serving as the District Governors of Gördes and Şarkışla, he was appointed to the Department of the General Directorate of Local Administrations at the Ministry of Interior in 2015. He served as the Governor of Sivas between 09.06.2016 – 05.11.2018.
