
The search continues for the submarine that plunged into the Atlantic Ocean to show the wreckage of the Titanic and disappeared with its contents.
The First Coast Guard's (USCGNortheast) Twitter account said: "A United States Coast Guard C-130 crew is searching for a delayed Canadian research submarine approximately 900 miles off Cape Cod. Rescue Coordination Center Halifax assists in the search with a P8 Poseidon plane. The P8 has underwater sensing capabilities. The United States Coast Guard is looking for a 21-foot diver from the Canadian research vessel Polar Prince. The five-man crew was submerged on Sunday morning, and the crew of the Polar Prince lost contact with them approximately 5 hour and 1 minutes after the ship's dive. Polar Prince and 45 Rescue Wing Recruiting will continue surface searches throughout the evening. Two C-106 flights have been completed from United States Coast Guard CG Air Station Elizabeth City. The surface/underground search will continue in the morning with the Halifax JRCC CCCOS Canada P130 Poseidon aircraft. A Canadian Aircraft P8 Aurora arrived on the scene to conduct sonar searches. R/V Polar Prince and R/V Deep Energy continue their surface exploration. The total search area completed as of this morning is 3 SQ miles.”
