The validity of the heavy-duty gas turbine named “AGT-110” made in China was approved in Shenzhen city. This approval shows that the 110 megawatt heavy-duty gas turbine with independent intellectual property rights of China has been verified as a complete machine.
The heavy-duty gas turbine was produced as an equipment with efficient energy conversion, clean use and application in a wide variety of fields. Few countries in the world have independent research and development capabilities due to high challenges in design, production and testing.
The “AGT-110” gas turbine, developed by a company named China Aircraft Engine, has a design capacity of 110 megawatts, as well as the advantages of fast starting, high thermal efficiency and easy maintenance. The equipment can generate electricity using a variety of fuels such as fuel oil and natural gas.
Yang Jun, Deputy General Manager of China Aircraft Engine, said, “Compared to thermal power generation units of the same capacity, a 110-megawatt heavy-duty gas turbine can reduce carbon emissions by over 1 million tons per year. One-hour electricity production exceeds 150 thousand kilowatt-hours and can meet the daily electricity needs of 15 thousand households.
