The Turkish furniture industry wants cooperation and fair trade conditions to maintain its competitiveness.

Reminding that Turkey has risen from 11th to 8th in the global furniture industry, Aegean Furniture Paper and Forest Products Exporters' Association President Ali Fuat Gürle said, “There needs to be cooperation and clustering in our industry in order to fully utilize our potential. However, we think that this way, the added value can be brought to a higher point. For this, an environment of trust must be established. Our goal is to raise the furniture industry to the top 5 in the world in 5 years.” said.

President Gürle said, “We think that with the right cooperation, fair and equal trade, we can pave the way not only when selling our products, but also when buying them. We need to strongly position the perception of Turkish furniture brand in the world, not lose our competitiveness, and cooperate against unfair competition from threats such as the Far East. We often come together with our companies to discuss what we need to do in order to determine the growth methods of our sector correctly, and the problems experienced in the raw material sector by our Association.” he said.
