dnata, a leading airline and travel services provider, presented an exciting new product at the World Travel Catering & Onboard Services Expo (WTCE). Visitors to the company's booth in Hamburg, Germany can meet and interact with a state-of-the-art cooking robot that represents the future of innovation in catering.

It is the first robot in the world that uses AI technology and can perform cooking tasks in both domestic and commercial operations. The robot was made by Moley Robotics and can prepare the same dishes according to the chef's pre-recorded instructions. It is equipped with many sensors and machine learning capabilities that allow it to precisely measure ingredients and master complex cooking techniques. The innovative solution provides consistent quality, a high level of safety and fast adaptation to changing parameters in real time.

“We are delighted to be able to showcase our revolutionary cooking robot alongside our premium kitchen and retail offering at the World Travel Catering & Onboard Services Expo,” says Robin Padgett, CEO of dnata Catering & Retail.

“We are constantly looking for ways to improve quality and efficiency by leveraging the latest technologies, including artificial intelligence and automation, across our global network. In recent years, we have implemented a range of advanced solutions to optimize various aspects of our operations, from consumption analysis to component procurement, inventory and waste management. We will continue to monitor trends closely and further integrate AI into our operations to capitalize on the opportunities offered by innovation,” adds Robin Padgett.

Visitors to the WTCE fair can meet with the robot Bella, which serves first-class food and beverage at the fair, as well as the cooking robot. Her twin already lives in the United Arab Emirates and, along with her partner Kitty, assists guests in the Sharjah Airport (SHJ) lounge. The SHJ airport lounge is operated by Alpha Flight Services, a local joint venture of dnata.

The extensive dnata stand in Hamburg also features a cooking station that offers visitors top-notch culinary experiences in real time. Available to dnata managers and award-winning chefs from around the world, customers and partners at WTCE.

dnata's catering and retail division is one of the world's leading providers of inflight hospitality services. More than 10.000 catering professionals prepare approximately 60 million meals a year for full-service, low-cost and VIP carriers from more than 110 branches.
