Animal Nutrition Training for Breeders Continues in Ankara

Ankara Metropolitan Municipality continues its animal nutrition trainings in order to improve animal husbandry in the capital and raise awareness of breeders. The animal breeders in Gölbaşı Oyaca Neighborhood were trained on calf care, sheep and cattle feeding and milking hygiene.

Ankara Metropolitan Municipality continues to give priority to projects that will support rural development and encourage animal breeding in the Capital.

Rural Services Department, which provides trainings for the development of animal husbandry in the capital and raising awareness of breeders, within the scope of these trainings; He met with animal breeders in Oyaca District of Gölbaşı district.

With the training support it provides, the Metropolitan Municipality aims to make breeders in both rural and central districts of Ankara more profitable, productive and conscious breeders.

“WE WANT TO CONTRIBUTE TO OUR BREEDERS”

One of the academicians of Ankara University Faculty of Agriculture, who also gave the 'Feeding Strategy Seminar in Dairy Cattle' for the municipality personnel. Dr. Betül Zehra Sarıçiçek gave information to the breeders in Oyaca Neighborhood on calf care, feeding of sheep and goats, milking hygiene, and answered the questions of breeders on the subjects they were curious about.

Stating that they provide information on many subjects from the care of calves to feeding of sheep and cattle and milking hygiene, Prof. Dr. Betül Zehra Çiçek made the following assessments:

“Livestock farming is going to a very bad place in our country and people cannot earn much money from animal husbandry due to the economic crisis. We organized a training for them to make better animal husbandry, to feed their animals more properly, to make feed and milking in a sterile environment, to obtain quality milk and to provide it to human nutrition, if any, to correct their mistakes, to make up for their deficiencies and to contribute to them. I would also like to thank Ankara Metropolitan Municipality for their support in animal husbandry.”

Rural Services Department Veterinarian Nadide Yıldırım, who stated that as Ankara Metropolitan Municipality, will continue to stand by local producers, said, “In general, animal husbandry is done with more traditional methods in our small family businesses. We aim to share up-to-date information with them so that they can make more profitable and productive livestock”.

At the end of the program, the udder kit consisting of a plastic bucket, udder dipping container, post-milking dipping solution and calf bottle was presented to the breeders participating in the training.
