The 3rd İzmir Poetry Lines activities, which will bring together the people of İzmir with poets, musicians, dancers and theater actors for a week, have started. The events between 19.00 and 21.00 will be open to the public and free of charge.
The Poetry Lines Meeting, organized by the Izmir Metropolitan Municipality for the third time this year, started in front of the Alsancak Pier. City Council President Nilay Kökkılınç, Apikam Manager Tuğba Kılıçkaya and art lovers attended the opening of the event. In the meeting organized under the coordination of poet and writer Namık Kuyumcu, poet Dilek Özkan recited poetry accompanied by music. In the night, there was a fire dance and mime show and a presentation in a poem/mask costume. The meeting ended with the “Equestrian Poetry Show” of the Street Arts Workshop, which was constructed with Nazım Hikmet's poem “Invitation”.
100 artists meet with the people of Izmir
Poetry Lines Meeting attended by 53 artists, 100 of whom are poets, on 14 and 16 June in front of Bostanlı Yasemin Cafe, on 15 June at Karantina Square, on 17 June at Foça Marseille Square, on 18 June at 19.00 at Quarantine Square.
