Industry and Technology Minister Mustafa Varank congratulated the Bursa Metropolitan Belediyespor Club Women's Handball Team, known as "Poyrazın Kızları", which completed the Women's Handball 1st League as champions and made it to the Super League, in the celebration program held in Mudanya.
Varank, who came to Mudanya with the Anatolian red Togg, marched to Mudanya Armistice Square with the cortege starting from the BUDO Pier with the participation of the team's players, the technical committee and the people of Bursa.
Speaking in the celebration program, Varank congratulated the players of the champion team.
Varank stated that he started to follow "The Daughters of Poyraz" from the first time he heard it, and said, "These things happen by putting their heart into it. Each of these girls put their heart into it. Our teacher put his heart into it and we achieved this result. What are we saying? We say, 'Mudanya's wind blows hard'. Poyrazın Kızları also play hard, but get results. Happy championship. We will follow your success in the Super League together.” used the phrase.
Noting that they spent the month of May with an election atmosphere, Varank said, “We will leave this election atmosphere behind on Sunday. Together we will open the doors of the Century of Turkey and the century of sports together. This is how we will build the Turkish Century with our successful athletes and young brothers.” he said.
Minister Varank, promising a one-week vacation to the team players, said, "We will shake the Super League together with the north wind like this." said.
Varank presented the championship flowers and gifts to the team players. Team players also presented the jersey with his name to Minister Varank.
Bursa Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Alinur Aktaş congratulated the players of the champion team that made Bursa feel proud and said that success will be achieved in Europe in the next period.
At the end of the celebrations where team captain Melike Kasapoğlu and Head Coach Merve Yılmaz gave speeches, Minister Varank and the players lifted the championship trophy together.
