The National Electric Train Set, produced locally and nationally by the TÜRASAŞ General Directorate of our Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure, was opened to the visit of citizens at Marmaray Bakırköy Station at 11.00:XNUMX today.
The National Electric Train Set, which was delivered to our TCDD Transportation General Directorate with a ceremony attended by the Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Adil Karaismailoğlu on April 27, can be visited by citizens for a week starting from 11.00:XNUMX today at Marmaray Bakırköy Station.
Number of National Electric Train Sets to be Completed to 2030 by 56
The "New Sakarya National Electric Train Set", where domestic and national facilities are used from design to production, has an operating speed of 160 kilometers.
It can be produced with 3, 4, 5 and 6 vehicles to be used in regional or intercity trains according to the operational needs, and it has a capacity of 5 passengers in its 324-vehicle configuration.
The sets, which have the TSI certificate, which is necessary for them to work in Turkey and European Union countries, are produced with passenger comfort in the foreground, while the sets include Wi-Fi access, a cafeteria section, 2 compartments for disabled passengers, a disabled boarding system and a baby care room.
Of the National Electric Train Sets, of which 2 sets, 1 prototypes and 3 series, have been produced so far, a significant need of passenger transportation will be met by producing 2024 sets by 4 and 2025 sets by the end of 15, and the number of train sets will be increased by 22. It will be completed to 2030.
