Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Adil Karaismailoğlu stated that the national train set will start to carry passengers from Adapazarı for the first time at 20.10 today.

Karaismailoğlu, in his statement, reminded that the domestic and national train set produced by Turkey Rail System Vehicles Industry Inc. (TURASAŞ) was delivered to the General Directorate of TCDD Transportation with a ceremony held on April 27.

Noting that the national train will start its passenger journey from Adapazarı with the Ada Express at 20.10 today, Karaismailoğlu said, “The national train, which will travel on the route of Adapazarı and Gebze, will serve at 11 stops. The national electric train, which will make 5 times a day on the Adapazarı-Gebze route, will travel approximately 500 kilometers per day.” used the phrase.

Pointing out that the national electric train will make a difference with its comfort on this line, Karaismailoğlu stated that tea, coffee and cold soft drinks will be sold on the train.

Pointing out that the national electric train set, where domestic and national facilities are used from design to production, has an operating speed of 160 kilometers, Karaismailoğlu said:

“According to the operational needs, 3, 4, 5 and 6 vehicles can be produced to be used in regional or intercity trains, and it has a capacity of 5 passengers in the 324-vehicle configuration. The sets, which have the TSI certificate, which is necessary for them to work in Turkey and European Union countries, were produced with passenger comfort in the foreground.”
