To document and promote the dishes of Gaziantep, which is included in the UNESCO Creative Cities Network in gastronomy, with the cooperation of Gazikultur affiliated to Gaziantep Metropolitan Municipality, Gaziantep Photograph Artists Association (GAFSAD) and Turkish Photographic Art Federation (TFSF), 1. Gaziantep Dishes and Food Culture National Photography Contest is organized.
The competition, which will be held in two categories, "Gaziantep Kazan Foods" and "Gaziantep Street Tastes and Food Culture", will cover the preparation of Gaziantep dishes, salads, desserts, and the photographs of the ingredients used in the production of Gaziantep dishes, from the field to the presentation.
In the competition organized in two categories, prize money of 10 thousand, 7 thousand 500 and 5 thousand liras will be given to the winners, respectively, and 2 thousand 500 liras will be given as honorable mentions. In addition, the contestants will receive 30 liras for the photographs in which at least 500 photographs will be displayed in each branch.
Contestants can participate in both categories with 5 photographs each. The photographs sent to the competition must be taken within the borders of Gaziantep province, and photographs that do not comply with this condition will not be evaluated.
The application deadline for the competition is November 4, 2023 and applications must be made to tfsfonayliyarismalar.org.
In the selection committee of the 1st Gaziantep Food and Food Culture National Photo Contest; Photographer Altuğ Galip, Trakya University Faculty Member Prof. Dr. Ali Muhammet Bayraktaroğlu, GAFSAD member Hasan Yelken, MAFSAD Chairman of the Board Inan Orhan, GİFSAD Member Levent Ural, Marmara University Faculty Member Prof. Dr. Experienced names such as Osman Ürper and GAFSAD Board Chairman Yakup Yener will be present.
