Train Driver Kemal Melemez, who has been working in Metro Istanbul for 23 years, one of the subsidiaries of Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IMM), was sent off to retirement with the applause of Metro Istanbul General Manager Özgür Soy, company senior management, colleagues and passengers, banners and flowers after his last voyage.

While approaching Zeytinburnu station for the last time, in the vehicle; “Dear passengers, we have a surprise today for our train driver, Kemal Melemez, who has been delivering you to your home, loved ones or work for years. We would like to thank Mr. Kemal, who has now retired after making his last voyage, for his efforts to Istanbul for 23 years without saying a holiday or a holiday, and wish him a pleasant retirement life with his loved ones. The jersey signed by the whole team was given to the mechanic from Trabzonspor.
Melmez, who came out of the mechanic's cabin with the applause of the passengers in the vehicle, was greeted on the platform with flowers, applause and banners by the General Manager Özgür Soy, the company's senior management and his colleagues. In the event, where emotional moments were experienced, General Manager Soy gave a signed Trabzonspor jersey to Melemez, who is from Trabzon and Trabzonspor. Özgür Soy said, “We would like to thank Mr. Kemal for his efforts for 23 years, regardless of day, night, holiday or holiday. We didn't want to leave him alone while he was making his last voyage today and we accompanied him with a surprise.
