It has been reported by Mersin Metropolitan Municipality Mersin Water and Sewerage Administration (MESKI) General Directorate that the debts of subscribers who have water debts will be restructured within the scope of the law on 'Restructuring of Certain Receivables'.
In the statement made by MESKI, it was reminded that the Law No. 9 on the 'Restructuring of Certain Receivables and Amending Certain Laws' published in the Official Gazette dated March 2023, 7440, entered into force. Within the scope of the law, subscribers will be able to restructure their debts whose due date is before 31 December 2022. In this regulation, which brings great convenience to the subscribers in paying their water debts, it was noted that the D-PPI (Domestic Producer Price Index) ratio will be updated instead of the water and wastewater delay hikes and interests before 31 December 2022.
Last day for restructuring water bill debts 31 May 2023
The conditions explained for subscribers who want to benefit from the configuration are as follows:
1. In advance payment, 90% discount will be provided over the delay amount.
2. In 12, 18, 24, 36 and 48 installment payments, very important possibilities such as structuring with the discount coefficient determined according to the installment rate were introduced.
Subscribers who want to benefit from the configuration will be able to apply via MESKI General Directorate branches, e-Devlet or meski.gov.tr until May 31, 2023 at the latest.
