Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality Culture Department adds meaning to the lives of Istanbulites with colorful events throughout April. One of these special events organized by İBB Kültür is a tribute to the master actor Kemal Sunal.

The “Kemal Sunal Film Costumes and Film Posters” exhibition, which describes the immortal name of our cinema, Kemal Sunal, opened yesterday with the participation of the actor's family and art lovers.

An interview took place with Ali Sunal, the son of the great master, at the opening at the Museum Gazhane. Ali Sunal said that although many years have passed since the death of his father, Kemal Sunal, he was loved by the new generation and this made them proud as his family. During the interview with the master artist's wife Gül Sunal and his daughter Ezo Sunal, Ali Sunal said, “My father was a very special person. He spoke less and preferred to listen more. I am more like my mother in this regard. He didn't hold grudges against anyone, but he had issues that he was upset about, such as copyrights. I think my father is the only actor in the world whose films are still competing with him. I am proud to be the son of this special person.”

All lovers who want to remember the unforgettable films of the great master with their costumes can visit the exhibition in the Museum Gazhane C Building, which will be open until Friday, April 14, free of charge, until 17.00.
