Vetin Begdaş, known as "Miracle Baby" and named Gizem by nurses, who was unearthed 128 hours from the rubble in Hatay, which was affected by the Kahramanmaraş-centered earthquake, was delivered to her mother in Adana 3,5 days later by Derya Yanık, our Minister of Family and Social Services.

Gizem doll was taken into custody at Adana City Hospital after the first intervention was made after she was pulled out of the wreckage. He was taken under the care of the institution after he did not have any health problems.

The Gizem doll, which was later brought to Ankara by the Presidential plane, was placed in the Ministry's affiliate after the controls at the Etlik City Hospital.

The Ministry of Family and Social Services evaluated the reports received within the scope of the search for unaccompanied children. The Ministry, which contacted the family after the examinations, found that the DNA sample taken from the family and the baby was compatible.

In this direction, the Ministry, which took action quickly to reunite Gizem baby with her family, took the baby to Adana by private plane from Ankara. Minister Derya Yanık welcomed the baby mystery in Adana. Minister Yanık delivered the baby, Gizem, to mother Yasemin Begdaş, who was being treated at Adana City Hospital.

Minister Yanık, who said that they ensured the reunion of mother and baby after 54 days, said, “Many provinces were affected by the earthquakes in Kahramanmaraş on February 6th. One of the most affected of these is Hatay. Mystery doll, which was found 128 hours after the wreckage by search and rescue teams, is truly a miracle. The fact that he survived and had no health problems affected us all. After the first examinations were made in our Adana City Hospital, we recruited Gizem to the establishment of our Ministry in Ankara.” said.
