Growmach, Tractor, Agricultural Machinery, Equipment & Technologies Fair, which will be held by Informa on October 10 – 14 this year, will bring together local and foreign sector representatives.

Giving information about the fair to be held in Antalya Anfaş Fair Center, Fair Director Engin Er said that Growmach, which has an international character, will be an important platform to create new commercial opportunities. Er said, “As Informa, we are proud to sign another international fair in Turkey. Both Turkish and international agricultural machinery and equipment companies have a great interest in Growmach and field sales continue very rapidly. In addition to our Turkish companies, internationally important manufacturers and other important companies of the sector took their places in the fair. Germany, Spain, Italy and China will take part in Growmach with national participation. All domestic and foreign companies will reach new markets and have the opportunity to increase their turnover by signing new sales connections. With Growmach, we will bring our participants together with industry professionals from the Middle East, Africa, the Balkans, Europe, Russia & CIS countries. We will bring our visitors together with the latest technologies and new products.” he said.

IT WILL TAKE PLACE WITH INTERNATIONAL PARTICIPATION

Noting that they will hold another international fair together with the participating companies and visitors, Engin Er continued his words as follows: “We are happy to bring the international agricultural machinery industry together in our country. I think that our fair will be a very important platform to come together with current and potential national and international customers and to create new commercial opportunities. We will bring the international agricultural machinery industry together in Antalya so that they can closely experience how the industry is developing in terms of sustainability and profitability, and which products and services will facilitate their work. Both domestic and foreign companies will have the opportunity to reach their targeted markets and business contacts during the fair. We will hold the first day of the 10 October Growmach Fair as a “Press Day” special for national and international press members only. All of our participants will have the opportunity to meet with national and international press members about their products and companies on this special day.”

Türkiye IS RISING IN THE WORLD RANKING

Growmach Fair Director Engir Er pointed out that according to the Agriculture and Machinery Industry Interaction report published by TARMAKBİR, the production of agricultural machinery in our country has increased gradually, especially in the last 20 years.

Engin Er gave the following information: “When the Turkish agricultural machinery sector is evaluated on the basis of foreign trade data, in the early 2000s, it was exporting equipment at the level of 20-30 million dollars, tractors at the level of 30-40 million dollars, and had a foreign trade deficit. Today, our country has started to establish a foreign trade balance with its exports exceeding the level of 1 billion dollars, and even to give a little more. As seen in the country change ranking, Turkey, which was in the 2001st rank in 31 and received a share of 3 per thousand in total world exports, completed 2020 in the 15th rank and its share in total increased to 1,6 percent. However, further development of the sector primarily depends on the domestic market's demand for machinery suitable for this development. According to the results of a field study conducted in November 2020, 100 out of 17 agricultural enterprises in our country invest in tractors/equipment and 10 in irrigation systems each year, these rates are slightly higher in industrial plant agriculture, and this rate is doubled in large agricultural enterprises. understandable”

GROWMACH to Host Innovation Awards

Engin Er stated that the Growmach Innovation Awards are the most important events to be held during Growmach, and said: “The innovation awards were presented by Prof. Dr. Hamdi Bilgen's Jury Chair. All companies operating in the agricultural machinery sector and creating innovative products can apply for these awards, with his experience in this field and other jury members who are experts in their fields.”

Expressing that the export share of agricultural machinery has reached a serious level today, Prof. Dr. Hamdi Bilgen, on the other hand, said, “Turkey uses its matured potential not only in agricultural machinery but also in introducing many different technologies that can be included in mechanization elements. For this purpose, the Growmach Innovation Awards and the Growmach agricultural machinery fair are preparing to be a first in this special field. Turkey is a country with great potential to contribute to the agricultural mechanization processes in many different parts of the world, especially thanks to its tropical-subtropical climate characteristics and four seasons structure. The Innovation Jury, which will be formed by the leaders of the sector and in the academic field, where national and international companies will participate, will play a very valuable role in bringing the most valuable innovations to the agricultural machinery sector. We are ready to introduce countless new inventions to the world market, especially our country.”
