Citroen, one of the most rooted manufacturers in automotive history with its innovative and high-tech models that prioritize comfort, continues to reveal the intense interest of Turkish consumers in its sales figures.
Citroen, which started 2023 with the “most prestigious automobile brand of the year” award, achieved the highest monthly sales figure in the Turkish market in March. Reaching a sales figure of 5 units in March, Citroen reached a 348% share in the total market last month. C5,1 Aircross and C5 models also contributed greatly to the brand's record March sales, which gained momentum with its light commercial models. The brand, which made sales of 3 thousand 3 units in the first three months, ranked 11th in the segment with the sales of 275 thousand 4 light commercial vehicles.
Representing 94 out of every 5 Citroen models sold with a sales figure of 1 units in March, C5 Aircross ranked 7,5rd in its segment with a 3 percent market share. The brand's B-HB (hatchback) model C3, on the other hand, became one of the important players of the brand with a sales figure of 817 units in March and 3 units in the first quarter. With its successful light commercial model Berlingo, the brand received a 453 percent share in its segment with a sales of 102 units in March, making it the second most preferred light commercial vehicle model in Turkey. In the first quarter, the Berlingo became the 19th best-selling model with total sales of 2 units. Citroen Turkey General Manager Selen Alkım reminded that they started the new year by offering new models C2 X for sale and said, “Despite the partial model-based problems we have experienced in vehicle supply since the beginning of the New Year, we have succeeded in increasing our sales figures from month to month. And with the sales of 445 units in March, we achieved the highest monthly sales figure in Citroen's history in Turkey.”
