Hamidiye Su Takes a New Step for Fast and Continuous Production in the Earthquake Zone

Hamidiye Su, which has been working since the first day in order to meet the water needs of the earthquake region, has taken a new step for fast and continuous production. The company started water production at the Hatay Kızıldağ Spring Water Facility.

Since the first day of the earthquake, Hamidiye Su, a subsidiary of Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IMM), has delivered 127 trucks of pet bottle water and 300 Tankers of water to the region. The company took a new step in the face of the fact that the works were not enough to completely meet the water needs of the region and meet the demand. In order to solve the water need quickly and continuously, Hamidiye Su announced that it has started water production at the Hatay Kızıldağ Spring Water Facility. Thus, the water distributed free of charge to the earthquake victims will gain speed and sustainability with on-site production.

FAST AND ON-SITE WATER PRODUCTION FOR EARTHQUAKE VICTIMS

Stating that the distance from Istanbul to the region is approximately 200 kilometers and that a truck reaches the earthquake zone in approximately 24 hours, Hamidiye Su General Manager Hüseyin Çağlar said the following about the production:

“We are working day and night to bring life back to normal in the region, to complete the deficiencies in infrastructure and for our citizens to return to their routine lives. Food and water are among the most important needs. The distance from Istanbul to the region is 200 kilometers and a truck can reach the region in approximately 24 hours. The need for water must be met without loss of time and travel, and it must be maintained in the same way for a long time after the disaster. For a sustainable solution, Hamidiye Water Technical and Quality teams from Istanbul have been working at the Spring Water Facilities in the region for a month. We have revived the Kızıldağ Spring Water facilities and made them capable of producing again.”

“PRODUCED WATER WILL MEET WITH THE OWNERS IN IMMEDIATE NEED”

Noting that Hamidiye Water has started production at Kızıldağ Spring Water Facilities to distribute it free of charge in the entire disaster area, Hüseyin Çağlar said, “The production work of Hamidiye in the region will continue as long as the need continues, and the water produced by on-site production will be brought to those in need immediately.”
