According to the data released yesterday by the China Automobile Manufacturers Association (CAAM), the production of new energy vehicles in the first quarter of this year amounted to 27,7 million 1 thousand units with an increase of 650 percent compared to the same period of the previous year, while the sales of new energy vehicles increased by 26,2 percent to 1 million. It reached 586 thousand units.

According to the data, 70,6 thousand vehicles were exported in the first quarter of the year, an increase of 994 percent compared to the same period of the previous year. Meanwhile, new energy vehicle exports increased by 110 percent to 248 thousand units.

On the other hand, the shares of Chinese passenger car brands in the domestic market increased by 6,3 points to 52,2 percent in the first quarter.
