A protocol was signed for the new mixed life project that Isra Holding will implement in Ağrı, which is located on the “One Belt One Road Project”, in cooperation with the Ağrı Governorate and Special Provincial Administration.

The holding, which has investments in many cities in Turkey in the real estate development, construction, tourism and energy sectors, will make its new investment in Ağrı, the center of attraction of the east. Isra Holding, which will realize the "first and biggest" mixed project of the region in the center of the city, aims to attract visitors from Eastern Anatolia, Southeastern Anatolia, Eastern Black Sea and neighboring countries in the region with this investment.

The project, which will also host world-famous brands, consists of shopping malls, hotels, clinical hotels, residence apartments, offices and residences.

The protocol signing ceremony of the project was held with the participation of Ağrı Governor Osman Varol and İsra Holding Chairman of the Board Abdurrahim Tavlı.

Speaking at the ceremony, Varol stated that the shopping and living center to be built within the scope of the project is one of the things that have been dreamed of for 13-14 years in the city and that will have a great impact on both the economic development, social life and development of Ağrı.

Varol said, “This shopping and living center is really important in terms of increasing the quality of life in our city, increasing the welfare of our people, and increasing commercial and economic mobility.” he said.

Noting that Ağrı is a frontier city, Varol said, “We are located on the Iranian border. A large number of Iranian tourists come to our country. The main purpose of Iranian tourists when they come here is to shop. They enter through our Gürbulak Border Gate. We are renewing this border gate with an investment of 1,2 billion. It will be commissioned as Turkey's most modern border gate. Iranian tourists entering through the Gürbulak Border Gate go to our neighboring cities. When you walk on the streets in our neighboring cities during certain seasons, you cannot see our local citizens, not Iranian tourists. Shopping centers and stores achieve incredible prosperity with the products they sell to them and the economic activity it creates.” used the phrases.

Governor Varol said, “This giant project, developed in a mixed concept, will create an attraction in the region and will enable Ağrı to get a share of this economic wealth.” He added that the project will make a serious contribution to the city's economy, will give great encouragement to people who are at the stage of investment decision, and will be a pioneer in other projects.

As Isra Holding, We Are Changing the Face of This Region

Tavlı, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Isra Holding, also stated that they are happy to be able to put their signature under the branded life projects they developed in a mixed concept specific to the region, and said:

“Our project, which we aim to add value to neighboring provinces and regions, especially Ağrı, will consist of a giant shopping mall, hotel, clinic hotel, residence apartments, offices and residences where world brands will serve. While offering luxury and comfort together in the residential and residential section, we aim to be a center of attraction in health tourism with its clinic hotel, and to undertake an important mission in the country's tourism by bringing an average of 500 thousand tourist visits to the region per year with our hotel unit. This project will be the region's gateway to the world and will make Ağrı the region's center of attraction.” he said.

Tavlı also gave information about the shopping mall part of the project, “As Isra Holding, we are actually changing the face of this region. We will bring world brands to this region with our shopping center, which will be included in our branded business and life project. In addition, we aim to maximize the premium shopping experience by conducting the management process of the mall with ECE Turkey, a world brand in this field.” used the phrases.

We aim to turn Ağrı into a center of attraction

Stating that Turkey's largest companies operate in the region to operate underground resources and that the region has high commercial turnover, Tavlı said that when the data on trade and tourism related to Ağrı are examined, very important results are obtained.

Pointing out that Ağrı is a dense region where 15 thousand people enter daily for trade from the border and this number will increase exponentially over time, Tavlı continued his speech as follows:

“The historical Ishak Pasha Palace, Ahmed-i Hani Tomb, Mount Ararat, and Noah's Ark region, which are located here, hosted nearly half a million visitors last year. This region has great advantages in terms of tourism, agriculture and trade. We, as Isra Holding, aim to turn Ağrı into a center of attraction by responding to the needs of neighboring countries such as Azerbaijan, Russia, Armenia, Georgia and Iran, with this giant project we will implement. Again in order to increase the trade volume, the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey continues its efforts to open a new border gate in Ağrı. On the other hand, İbrahim Çeçen University increases the mobility in this region with its academic staff and student potential. I believe that this city, which has a historical heritage on the Silk Road, will be the shining international star of our country and surrounding countries in the near future.”
