Kayseri Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Dr. Memduh Büyükkılıç, together with AK Party Deputy Chairman Mehmet Özhaseki, attended the presentation and delivery ceremony of 12 articulated buses that have recently joined the Kayseri Metropolitan Municipality city bus fleet.
Metropolitan Mayor Dr. Memduh Büyükkılıç continues to implement his projects with the aim of carrying Kayseri to better points in the field of transportation, as in every other field. In this context, the presentation and delivery ceremony of 12 articulated buses, which have recently joined the Kayseri Metropolitan Municipality city bus fleet, was held.
The presentation and delivery ceremony held in Cumhuriyet Square was attended by the Mayor of the Metropolitan Municipality, Dr. In addition to Memduh Büyükkılıç, AK Party Deputy Chairman, Chairman of Local Administrations Mehmet Özhaseki, former Minister of Energy and Natural Resources Taner Yıldız, AK Party Provincial President Şaban Çopuroğlu, Kayseri Provincial Gendarmerie Commander Brigadier General Yüksel, Yiğit Melikgazi Mayor Mustafa Palancioğlu, Kocasinan Mayor Ahmet Çolakbayrakdar, Talas Mayor Mustafa Yalçın, Hacılar Mayor Bilal Özdoğan, bureaucrats and citizens attended.
Speaking at the ceremony that started with a moment of silence and the singing of the National Anthem, President Büyükkılıç started his speech by commemorating those who lost their lives after the earthquake disaster, which is described as the disaster of the century, with mercy, and wishing a speedy recovery to the injured.
ENVIRONMENTAL, DISABLED FRIENDLY AND COMFORTABLE
Pointing out that the new buses are both environmentally friendly and disabled-friendly, Mayor Büyükkılıç said, “While providing this service, it is a service of the highest quality. Our 12 articulated buses. Each of them can carry 150 people, both with its environmentalism and disability-friendly approach, with its comfort, ergonomic point of view and of course with innovation. While I thank those who contributed to the service here, in a way that suits our Kayseri by increasing the quality of the service and lowering the average age, I would like to send a greeting to our friend Murat Yalçıntaş. Indeed, with a very well-intentioned approach to us, he said to us in memory of our late father Nevzat Yalçıntaş, 'It is our duty to protect Kayseri, to protect our brother Memduh'. He provided us with great support regarding these buses. It has brought the figure, which will correspond to 120 million as of now, to our city in a suitable way. First of all, I would like to thank those who contributed, say good luck to our city, say May Allah protect us from accident and trouble, and offer love and respect to all of you.”
METROPOLITAN'S NEW BUS DISPLAYED
Adding 18 new articulated buses with a length of 12 meters to its transportation fleet, the Metropolitan Municipality offered high-capacity, comfortable, disabled-friendly buses to the people of Kayseri.
In this context, 12 18-meter buses were received by the Metropolitan Municipality and included in the fleet. High-capacity vehicles with a capacity of 141 and 155 passengers, disabled-friendly, low-floor, safe travel with interior and exterior camera systems, Passenger Information System, technological equipment and air conditioning system, which will increase passenger comfort, will begin to serve passengers after the official procedures are completed.
