After the operation, Interior Minister Süleyman Soylu, who made a press statement at the Vatan Campus of the Istanbul Police Department, shared the details of the study.

Minister Süleyman Soylu stated that technical follow-ups and monitoring were carried out within the scope of the operation, which has been carried out for approximately 16 months, and that action was taken across Istanbul as of 04.00.

900 Police Personnel Participated in the Operation

Stating that 900 personnel participated in the operation, Minister Soylu said, “The target was 175 people and a total of 16 people were detained in the interim arrests made for 106 months. Most of them were also arrested. 175 people were detained in the 42nd Rooting Operation organized for 161 people in the morning. The features of this operation are as follows; The team that distributes cocaine in Istanbul is the distributors of a network that we can almost call home delivery, with 60 taxis and 35 motor courier services. In 16 months, both interim arrests were made and as of this morning, 161 people, a total of 266 people, were detained in connection with this operation. The search for the remaining 14 people continues.” he said.

Stating that a meticulous study was carried out within the scope of the operation, Minister Süleyman Soylu said:

“A very meticulous study was carried out to both determine and prove how the network tried to poison Istanbul. From here, I would like to say to the people of Istanbul, yes, we are in the earthquake zone, the number of our security forces there is a little higher, which is true, but to ensure security, but without reducing or disrupting any responsibility on the state, we are responsible for our duties and responsibilities, from fighting against crime and criminals, from terrorism to drugs and public order. In the fight against crimes, we continue with our faith, our loyalty to our nation and our determined understanding. I would like to express the following especially to mothers; We are all together at the point of our youth and children's fight against drugs.
