Libyan professional boxer Malik Zinad, coached by national boxing trainer Furkan Derbazlar, is rising to the top among the best boxers in the world. Zinad defeated her French opponent at the World Boxing Championship held in Belgium on March 11 and rose to 20th place in the world rankings. Furkan Derbazlar went down in Turkish boxing history with this coaching success.

“I now carry the WBC, WBA, WBF and IBO titles in my arms when I could only see them on TV,” Derbazlar said.

National trainer Furkan Derbazlar is the trainer of Libyan professional boxer Malik Zinad. Zinad became the WBC Mediterranean light heavyweight champion by stepping into the ring with boxers such as Canelo Alvarez, Dmitry Bivol and Callum Smith in the “WBC Mediterranean” title match, one of the most prestigious boxing organizations in the world, held in Brussels, Belgium in 2021. National trainer Furkan Derbazlar also managed to become one of the trainers who won the WBC belt in the Turkish boxing history.

1st in Africa, 20th in the world

Zinad, coached by Derbazlar, retained his WBC title by winning both matches against Islam Teffahi and Argentina's Ezequiel Osvaldo Maderna at the WBC Championship held in Brussels in 2022. Zinad, who won 20 victories, 16 of which was knockout, in 20 matches in the ring, thus continued his "undefeated boxer" streak and rose to 43rd place in the world light heavyweight classification.

Malik Zinad faced off against French boxer Mickael Diallo, known as the "undefeated boxer", for the WBA Intercontinental title at the World Boxing Association (WBA) Intercontinental Championship held in Belgium on March 11, 2023. Zinad became the winner after 10 rounds with the decision of the referee. With this win, Zinad ranked 1st in professional boxing in the African Continent; He rose to 20th place in the world ranking of superstar boxers.

Furkan Derbazlar, who is the first and only person to achieve this success with his trainer identity in the history of boxing in Turkey, said, "This success makes me feel emotions that I cannot describe."
