Within the scope of the “Container Supply Cooperation Protocol” signed between Konya Chamber of Industry (KSO) and Konya Organized Industrial Zone (KOS), the first stage of the 200 containers to be sent to İskenderun set off with 64 container trains.
To the farewell ceremony of the containers, which will be sent to the Iskenderun district of Hatay by rail from Konya Kayacık Logistics Center, Konya Chamber of Industry President Mustafa Büyükeğin, Organized Industrial Zones Supreme Organization (OSBÜK) and Konya Organized Industrial Zone (KOS) President Memiş Kütükcü, Chairman of the Board of Directors of KSO Deputy Necip Çimen and KOS Board Member Ali Koçak attended.

Speaking at the container farewell ceremony, KSO President Mustafa Büyükegen emphasized that Konya Chamber of Industry and Konya Organized Industrial Zone will send a total of 200 containers to Iskenderun, in addition to the container city that Konya has established in Hatay.
Stating that 200 containers, which are the first stage of 64 containers to be established in İskenderun, were shipped from Kayacık Logistics Center, President Büyükeen said: “Within the scope of the protocol signed by our Chamber and our Konya Organized Industrial Zone, we have shipped 200 containers, which is the first stage of 64 containers to be sent to Iskenderun. Hopefully, as the productions are completed, our container shipments to the region will continue. As the Chamber, we sent our previous containers by rail, and we are sending our containers in this project by rail. I would like to thank all our industrialists who supported our efforts to heal the wounds of the earthquake.”
KOS is next to Iskenderun OSB
OSBÜK and KOS President Memiş Kütükcü underlined that they have been mobilizing to meet the needs of the earthquake region with the support of industrialists since the earthquake. Stating that they are currently focusing on the container for housing needed by the region, Kütükcü reminded that KOS was matched with İskenderun OIZ in the matching study conducted by OSBÜK for 5 OIZs in the 23 provinces most affected by the earthquake.
Kütükcü said, “As Konya Organized Industrial Zone, we are in constant communication with İskenderun OIZ. We are discussing what we can do in the region. In addition, we signed a protocol as Konya Chamber of Industry and Konya Organized Industrial Zone and within this scope, we will send 200 containers to İskenderun. We have sent 200 containers, the first phase of 64 containers, all of which will be produced in our Konya OIZ. I would like to thank all our industrialists, institutions and organizations who supported the aid campaigns we started.
