STM ThinkTech will provide consultancy services to Mevlana Development Agency (MEVKA) for the development of the defense ecosystem in Konya and Karaman provinces and will create a roadmap for the production of high value-added products.
Playing a critical role in Turkey's defense industry and national technology move with its highly qualified human resources, STM Savunma Teknolojileri Mühendislik ve Ticaret A.Ş. signed another important project in the field of consultancy services. STM ThinkTech, which provides consultancy services in a wide range from NATO to civil and local organizations in Turkey; It carries its analysis and decision support system development competency regarding the domestic and national industrial production ecosystem to Konya and Karaman after Gaziantep.
STM ThinkTech, the first technology-focused think tank in Turkey, has signed the Project for Determining the Management and Consultancy Needs for the Production of Value-Added Products to be Determined by Creating a Defense Sector Capability Atlas of Konya and Karaman Provinces. In the project, which was signed with Mevlana Development Agency (MEVKA) and will last for 10 months, the “Talent Complexity Method” developed by STM ThinkTech by adapting the Harvard University Economic Complexity Index calculation algorithm (ATLAS of Economic Complexity) will be used.
Ability Atlas Will Be Created
In project scope; A capability atlas will be created on a provincial basis, and products/technologies with higher added value that can be produced with existing products/technologies and capabilities in companies will be determined. In the Project, where the technical and administrative consultancy needs of provinces will be determined for the production of high value-added products, the optimum support types (management, It is aimed to determine support model proposals, including consultancy, device supply, training, strategy, etc.) and monitoring processes.
Within the scope of Konya Defense Industry Suppliers Meetings; STM signed an agreement of intent on November 18, 2021 for the development of the defense sector in the provinces of Konya and Karaman.
Gaziantep Industry Transformed with STM
In addition to its consultancy competence in the international arena, STM ThinkTech also carries out consultancy projects that will contribute to regional development in Anatolia. STM ThinkTech, which previously contributed to the development of production ecosystems in Konya and Gaziantep, completed important projects. In 2018, the consultancy projects carried out with the KOP Regional Development Administration were successfully completed in order to increase the efficiency of the shotgun manufacturers located in the Huğlu and Üzümlü regions of Konya and to integrate them into the defense industry. The "On-Site Analysis Study and Strategy Document Preparation Project", which was initiated for the Gaziantep machinery and metal industry ecosystem to transition to the defense industry sector and produce high value-added products, was completed in 2021.
