Gendarmerie traffic teams are making efforts to restore the morale of children whose houses were damaged or destroyed after the earthquakes in Kahramanmaraş on February 6, and to receive traffic education at a young age.

In this context, the Mobile Traffic Training Truck sent to Hatay by the command was established to operate in tent and container cities. In the truck, children are taught the traffic rules first with lessons and then with big toy cars on the established track. The smiles on the faces of the children, who get on the cars and walk on the track and learn the traffic rules, do not fail.

Senior Sergeant Major Turan Büke, who is in charge of the Gendarmerie General Command Traffic Department, said that they set up the training track in tent and container cities last week. Büke stated that they gave information to the children in the classrooms inside the truck, and that the importance of traffic rules was explained in the videos they watched.

Noting that the trainings continue in practice, Büke said, “At the beginning of the trainings, we try to explain to the children what the seat belts, the use of pedestrian crossings, the use of lights, priority given to pedestrians and traffic signs mean.” said.
