'International Under-12 Izmir Cup' Begins

7 teams and approximately 9 athletes from 12 countries will compete in the "International Under-20 Izmir Cup" to be held on April 72-500 with the support of Izmir Metropolitan Municipality. The jerseys to be signed by the A team players of the participating teams will be sold by auction and the income will be donated to the earthquake victims.

İzmir will host the “International Under-7 İzmir Cup” in football between 9-12 April. In the organization, which will be held in cooperation with İzmir Metropolitan Municipality Youth and Sports Services Department, Altınordu Sports Club, Turkish Football Federation, and Ministry of Youth and Sports, 20 teams, 42 of which are foreign, and approximately 72 athletes will compete. The tournament will be held at Altınordu Selçuk İsmet Orhunbilge Facilities.

Europe's biggest tournament

The final match of the tournament, which enabled many athletes playing football actively and professionally in Turkey and Europe to be discovered in the past, will be on April 9, 2023.

The aim of the organization is to encourage children to do sports and to have fun with their peers from all over the world. In the local organization organized by the Izmir Metropolitan Municipality among all amateur sports clubs in the city in order to ensure equality of opportunity in sports, the two teams that played in the final will have the opportunity to compete with the leading representatives of the world by qualifying to play in the tournament. In addition, the important tournament that allows talented children under the age of 12 to be discovered and to take a big step in their careers will contribute greatly to the international recognition of İzmir.

The organization will host well-known clubs such as Fenerbahçe, Galatasaray, Beşiktaş, Trabzonspor, Bayern Munich, Juventus, PSG, Ajax and Porto.
