The fare schedule of ferries connected to İZDENİZ, which provides transportation in İzmir Bay, has been updated. Following the unanimous decision of UKOME, the new tariff will be implemented as of 11 March.
The fare schedule of ferryboats affiliated to İZDENİZ A.Ş., the maritime transportation company of İzmir Metropolitan Municipality, has been updated. In line with the unanimous decision taken at the General Assembly of the Transportation Coordination Center (UKOME) on March 8, the increased fuel, maintenance and repair and personnel expenses were evaluated and the price increase was made in tariffs at rates between 18 and 25 percent. With the new tariff that will come into effect on Saturday, March 11, 2023, motorcycle toll from 16 TL to 20 TL, automobile toll from 55 TL to 65 TL, minibus-truck-midibus toll from 125 TL to 150 TL, bus-truck toll increased from 230 TL to 280 TL, truck toll increased from 430 TL to 520 TL. While no fee is charged to the passengers in the transported vehicles, the 5 cents tariff applied for bicycle passengers will continue in the same way.
55 expedition per day
In order to increase the share of sea transportation in the city, 15 trips are organized on the Bostanlı-Üçkuyular line every 55 minutes during the day, during the week, and 51 on the weekends. In order to minimize the increase in transportation costs to the residents of İzmir, İzmir Metropolitan Municipality provides a subsidy to İZDENİZ for a transported vehicle, approximately equal to the transportation cost of three vehicles. Izmir Metropolitan Municipality applies the lowest fee per mile traveled, considering the current fee schedule of other companies engaged in sea transportation in Turkey.
