İBB has implemented one of the best examples of social municipality. Distribution of free nutrition packs to primary school students started. In the first phase, 18 thousand students were reached in 70 schools in 3 districts. Packages containing milk, fruit, sandwiches and eggs were distributed at school entrances.
One of these schools was Bağcılar Anafartalar Primary School. Parents who brought their children to school were satisfied with the application. The children happily took their packages and entered their classrooms. Some have already opened the package in the schoolyard and had their breakfast.

IMM Deputy Secretary General Mahir Polat said that they determined the schools to which the distribution was made according to the fragility and disadvantage map determined by the Istanbul Planning Agency, “We started in 18 districts in the first phase of the project. We cover 70 schools. We distribute 3 nutrition packs to our children daily. In the second phase of the project, we target 24 districts. In total, we will be delivering nutrition to 125 children per month.” The nutrition package, which included protein-rich foods, also included the small cardboard package of Istanbul public milk, which has been distributed free of charge since 2019 with the slogan 'milk is the right of every child'.
