The wounds of the earthquake disaster, which stifled the country and deeply affected the economic and social life, are being tried to be healed. During the visit, the representatives of the business world stated that they, like all of Turkey, experienced the effects of the earthquake disaster and that they would reduce these effects together. Evaluating how the earthquake will affect the economy, business representatives determined the steps that can be taken to minimize this. While the delegation continued its support efforts to meet the needs of the region, it also had the opportunity to discuss the emergency action plans with the sister association GAGİAD. The delegation met with business people affected by the earthquake and consulted by listening to the demands of business people.

The Association Presidents, who started mobilization in the business world and formed "support networks" in order to meet the needs of the disaster-affected region immediately after the earthquake, visited the disaster area by meeting with the business world organizations and NGO representatives in the region in a two-day program.

Within the scope of the mobilization work for the earthquake area, the heads of the associations, who were in contact in the first hours of the earthquake, had personally met with the representatives of the NGOs and the business world of the region and supported the disaster coordination.

We Will Do What The Brotherhood Requires

Making a statement after the visits EGİAD President Alp Avni Yelkenbiçer stated that the aid has grown like an avalanche all over the country and expressed that it is a civic duty to support. Reminding that the earthquake disaster will affect the whole of Turkey economically, he said, “We will try to reduce these effects together with new projects and investments. As a sister institution with GAGİAD, we will act with the responsibility of brotherhood. We know that each member of the association supports the region individually or under the umbrella of the association, in kind or in different ways. Today is the time to be united. Recruiting earthquake survivors, ensuring the development of the region's industry, and providing a warm home is our top priority.”
