According to the data announced by the National Cancer Center of China, approximately 4 million 60 thousand new cancer cases are detected in China every year, while 2 million 410 thousand people die due to this disease. In China, the 5-year survival rate for cancer has increased to 40,5 percent. This rate was 10 percent 30,9 years ago.

According to the data, China has established a cancer registry system covering 1 billion 407 million people. With this system, data such as tumor incidence, survival and death rates of cancer patients are collected, and data support is provided for cancer research, prevention and treatment of cancer.

At the same time, cancer prevention and control action was launched for Chinese citizens. While the four-level system at the country, state, city and county levels is improved, the reporting system of drug, clinical diagnosis and treatment data is strengthened at more than 31 public hospitals in 400 states.
