The road map of the new period was also created at the well-attended member meeting held in Altekma, the facility of Melih Sebastien Durmuş, who was the former chairman of the board of directors, in Torbalı.
Stating that TÜGİAD Aegean Branch has five commissions, namely International Relations Commission, Entrepreneurship and Innovation Commission, Aegean Environment, Urban Planning and Disaster Coordination Commission, Aegean Business Development and Member Relations Commission and Aegean Social Relations and Education Commission, TÜGİAD Chairman of the Board Engin Korkmaz said, “We want to make our commissions highly functional in the new period. The projects to be revealed in the commissions will keep both the members and the board of directors alive. That's why we want all our members to take part in the commissions and actively contribute to the projects."
Explaining that the commissions will be in a sweet competition among themselves and this will add dynamism to the Aegean Branch of TUGIAD, Korkmaz said, “The commissions are the hands and feet of an NGO. No NGO whose commissions are not active cannot survive with its management alone and cannot achieve successful works. We want to cooperate with other NGOs, public institutions, local administrations and universities to realize our projects that will be revealed in our commissions in the new period. I would also like to emphasize that if we believe that our stakeholders will contribute to the growth of the project, we will never hesitate to cooperate.”
After the determination of the commissions, Melih Sebastien Durmuş, the former chairman of the board of directors, and his management were given a plaque of appreciation.
