All proceeds of the 3 concerts to be held will be used to heal the wounds of earthquake victims through the One Rent One Home campaign organized in partnership with the Izmir Metropolitan Municipality and Needs Map.
Concerts will increase solidarity
The paid concerts in the 7-day congress calendar will increase solidarity with our 6 provinces where the earthquake disaster on 10 February was effective. Melike Şahin with her strong voice and unique interpretation will meet with the audience on March 16, Russian musician Evgeny Grinko, and on March 20, Kardeş Türküler, which advocates plurality and unity with her music, will meet with the audience.
Tickets for the concerts, whose entire income will be transferred to the Bir Kira Bir Yuva campaign, will be available through the “Economics Congress” mobile application or Biletix. There will also be an "unattended ticket" option for benefactors who do not physically participate but only want to donate.
Congress program announced
The program of the Second Century Economics Congress, which will be held between 15-21 March 2023 and which is designed as a civil, transparent and fully participatory initiative, has been announced. At the end of the congress, policy proposals that will shape the new century will be shared with all of Turkey.
The program of the Second Century Economics Congress, which will last for seven days, includes main sessions, delegate meetings, forums and artistic activities. The main congress will bring together respected scientists and experts from Turkey and the world. Nearly 70 speakers will make many comprehensive presentations. Names such as Vandana Shiva, Bob Geldof, Michio Kaku and Andrew McAfee will give talks on building the future.
Comprehensive negotiations on the long-term consequences of the destruction caused by the earthquake were included in the program of the Second Century Economics Congress, which was postponed to March 6-2023 after the great earthquake disaster on February 15, 21.
