Illegal structures belonging to the Hiranur Foundation were demolished. After the foundation's stay of execution application to the court was rejected, IMM teams took action. Police and Zoning Directorate teams went to the foundation building in Sancaktepe this morning. It was determined that the illegal structures were not completely demolished within the time given to the foundation. Construction machinery belonging to IMM has legally demolished.
İBB İmar, İSKİ, İGDAŞ and municipal police teams made investigations at the Hiranur Foundation. Natural gas was cut off and evacuation was requested for the demolition of parts of the building that are against the zoning. Demolition was done after the evacuation.
LEAKED SECTIONS DESTROYED
The illegal building, which is not included in the zoning plan, looks like a single storey from the front, but is understood to have 3 floors from the back, was completely demolished. The elevation difference has been eliminated. The demolition of the illegal area, which is made of steel construction material in the middle of 5 blocks belonging to the foundation, has also started.
AKGUN: WE STARTED DESTRUCTION ACCORDING TO OUR LEGAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Gürkan Akgün, Head of the IMM Department of Reconstruction and Urbanization, who accompanied the demolition work, told the journalists about the process. Reminding that a demolition decision was taken unanimously by the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality's committee, Akgün said, “This has also been communicated. After the notification, the parties took it to court. The court decided that the matter was in accordance with legal procedures. In other words, the matter has also passed legal control. In accordance with our legal duties and responsibilities, we have started the demolition of the illegal parts of the building here, in line with the legal supervision.” Stating that they filed a criminal complaint against the district municipality that did not do its duty, Akgün said, “There are 5 blocks here. There are closed areas that do not comply with the license. As this residential area, 5 blocks have been licensed. But there are areas where it was made without a license. We have started a process regarding the demolition of these areas,” he said.
WHAT HAPPENED?
The illegal building of the Hiranur Foundation was sealed by the IMM on 12 December 2022 on the grounds that it was against zoning. Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality Directorate of Reconstruction asked Sancaktepe Municipality to inspect the illegal building. When no response was received for 3 months, the IMM Directorate of Reconstruction teams went to the illegal building located in Sancaktepe District, Abdurrahmangazi District, block 8905, parcel 3, owned by the Hiranur Foundation, and filed the "unlicensed illegal building", which was not used even though its occupancy was taken yet, with the "Building Holiday Record". sealed it. Those responsible were asked to demolish the illegal sections within the given time. The deadline expired, but the Hiranur Foundation applied to the court. After the court process was completed in favor of IMM, demolition was carried out today.
