The body of Rize police officer Muhammet Tarakçı, who was injured as a result of the tree and wall falling on him during the earthquake while patrolling in Hatay, and died in the hospital where he was taken, was brought to Rize by the plane belonging to the Coast Guard Command.
After the Kahramanmaraş-centered earthquake; Rizeli Police Officer Muhammet Tarakçı, who was assigned to the province of Hatay while he was working in the Legal Counseling staff in Ankara, was martyred in the hospital where he was taken away after being under the collapsed wall and tree in the earthquake that occurred while he was on duty. The body of the martyr reached Rize at night. The body of the martyr, taken from the plane belonging to the Coast Guard Command that landed at Rize Artvin Airport, was carried on the shoulders by the ceremonial squad to the funeral vehicle. Deputy Governor Ertuğrul Arslan, Provincial Police Chief Nurettin Gökduman, Sunday District Governor Mustafa Akın, soldiers and relatives of the martyr welcomed the martyr's body.
The funeral of the martyr will take place on March 5, 2023 at the Rize Central Beach Mosque. After the funeral prayer that will be held after the afternoon prayer, the body of the martyr will be buried in the martyrdom in Islampaşa District.
